Methods of advertising have evolved due to the popularity of the internet. There are tons of
ways companies advertise their products/services to potential customers online. But advertising offline is just as

Methods of advertising online are also just as important as offline advertising. There are always people surfing
the net at any given time of the day or night. Companies understand this and know that they have to maintain an
online presence. Methods of advertising online involve banner ads, email marketing, pop up ads, pop under ads,
contextual ads on search engine results pages, social networking advertising, online classified advertising and
Rich Media ads. Some companies may implement one or two of these methods, while some companies may use all of
them.
The companies that advertise online are from small one person operating websites to global fortune 500 companies.
Of course the large, highly successful companies advertise a lot more than the smaller companies. But thanks to the
internet the methods of advertising are plentiful and with an advertising budget of $100 a month, a struggling one
person company can compete with the global billion dollar companies. All it takes is for a few people to be highly
satisfied with a product/service and post their experience online. Other people will then spread the word and just
like that the struggling one person company would be getting the best method of advertising for free. And that
method is word of mouth advertising.
